When I moved to San Marcos, I knew little about page design. I’d seen it done, but never sat in front of a computer and actually paginated a section.
Six months later, my boss left me in charge of the sports department for three weeks. Hello, new-found responsibility!
I don’t know whether it showed that I learned that much or that he just wanted to take an extended vacation, but nonetheless, I was on my own to design the section.
At first, it was daunting to put together a page.
Once I figured out it’s just like Tetris, I began to have fun with it.
Here are a few examples of pages I put together in my career thus far.
